Thanksgiving Fun!

We had such a great Thanksgiving! We went to my sister's house, and the day was so much fun!
My sister had set a beautiful table for us, so that we could all fit and eat together
Everyone was there from my family including my darling niece Melani (on the left, my mom on the right). She is due with her first baby in mid December, and drove down with her hubby Brandon from Utah!
They also brought their little dog Boudie, who Tyler loved!!!
This is my sis-in-law Coco (yes, she recently went dark), with Katie and my sweet niece, Tylee (who was supposed to spend Thanksgiving with her dad, but she prayed that she would be able to spend Thanksgiving with all her cousins, and her prayers were answered! Just one more reason to be grateful!)
After stuffing ourselves, we all went to the park to play a friendly (NOT) family game of football (Except for Mel, who is too preggo, and myself, since I had some severe gall bladder pain after eating so much yummy food!)
My niece, Melani, made everyone Jersey's with their names on them, and we about peed our pants when we saw my mom had put hers on backwards, and when we told her what we were laughing at, she said "Fine, I'll turn it around", she then took it off and put it back on backwards again.....It was pretty hilarious! We love you Mimi!
Austin was in complete heaven since he eats, lives, and breathes football lately!

Katie was the cheerleader on the side! (She's her mommy's girl! :) )

Tyler even ran in a touchdown! Go Tyler Go!

The most fun part of the day for me was when Lolo and I sang a song that we had written to the song "We are the Champions" and we called it "We are the Coxes", and made fun of all of our "family issues"....it was so hilarious!

We also got to visit, and play cards, and laugh....it was lot of fun, and I was grateful to have my family all together again...it has been a while since the whole family was together! :)

The Ear Infection Buster!

Last night Tyler started grabbing his ear and crying saying "ear hurt". So Jeff drove all the way to his office to get his opthalmoscope so that he could check to see if Tyler had an ear infection. Sure enough, his ear was definitely red and inflamed.
Tyler has had only 1 other ear infection, and we did this same thing, and I'm telling you....IT WORKS! I use Oxy Pure in the kids drinks when they are sick, and other things...but as ear drops...it is even more awesome! We mixed some distilled water (10 drops) with Oxy Pure (1 drop), and dropped 1 or 2 drops in his ear last night.
This morning, his ear has only a tiny bit of pink left, and it is almost completely better (by tonight it will be). This morning we asked Tyler where his "ouwee" was, and he grabbed his ear and said "no hurt...all better".
So, I'm telling all you moms that have kids that get an ear infection (regardless of age)....save yourself the time and headache of going to get antibiotics, and stop by Jeff's office for some Oxy Pure. It works, it is safe, it is fast, and there are no side effects!

Lemon Tree = Lemonade

On Saturday, Jeff picked up a little Eureka Lemon Tree. I told him a long time ago that I wanted one, and Katie for some reason has been asking for one. I love Jeff for always getting the kids excited about gardening, and planting, and always letting them help (as much as they are able anyway). He has always been so good about that. Anyway, while I was gone, he and kids went out and dug a hole, and planted our tree....and he even remembered to take pictures...good job honey!

Car Questions?

Hey everyone, just thought that I would bring to your attention a new blog I've added to mine. It is called Ask Mike? My uncle Mike is the most awesome person ever! He gives service NON STOP, he is loving and kind and just a big teddy bear! He has been a mechanic since I can remember, and probably long before. He has worked for Toyota for over 20 years, and is as smart as it gets when it comes to cars. Recently, Uncle Mike had a life changing experience (you can read about it more on his blog), it is a miracle that he is even alive. He is supposed to take it easy for a while, and I think his family members came up with this idea for him to answer your car questions. It is free for a while, but eventually, they will add a small fee to get your car questions answered. So, I am telling anyone that reads this, if you have any questions about your car, I strongly advise you to visit this blog...he is honest, and he has seen it all! Give it a try, and support an awesome individual! Thanks!

Halloween Silliness!

My kids love Halloween, and Tyler has been especially fun, since he loves putting on different hats anyway...and every time I go to take his picture, he smiles with the cheesiest smile ever! So cute! Anyway, I had a Halloween party for my scouts on Wednesday which was a lot of fun. After the party I found Austin and Tyler playing.....in the candy stash!

Last night we went to our ward's chili cook-off, and trunk-or-treat. I have to say I am actually a huge fan of the trunk-or-treat over traditional trick-or-treating. It's in a safe environment, it is people that we know and love, it is far less walking, the kids get just as much candy, and since the economy tanked, when you go through the neighborhoods, it's like every other house is empty. Plus, it is done in like an hour! I love it, and wish we could do that every year for Halloween! And now for the pictures...
Austin was Bumblebee
Katie was Tinkerbell
Tyler was a cowboy
And Jeff was just himself! :)
I said "Tyty, did you like trick-or-treating?"
This was his response.
Jeff said he went up to the first trunk kind of shy and barely said "treat", and got a candy, and his eyes lit up and he said "tank ou" (thank you), and took off for the next car with bucket up yelling all the way there "twick-or-tweet"! He had a ball!
This is the pumpkin I carved....
Jeff carved Shrek for Tyler (that's Ty's favorite!)
This was Jeff's masterpiece!
After we got home...
Tyler gave Shrek a love before he got butchered! (We carve our pumpkins on Halloween, and then cook them that night and freeze the pumpkin for pies and stuff.)
Shrek just being plain silly!
This is a little Silence of the Lambs....but cuter! :)
